New Provincial Council

On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, the 5th Provincial Chapter of the Province of St. Clement has elected the Provincial and Provincial Council for the 2019-2022 Quadrennium in Neuastadt an der Weinstrße (Germany) .
In the first ballot, Fr. Jan Hafmans was elected provincial superior with a two-thirds majority.
This was followed by the elections for the provincial council.

Extraordinary Visit in Neustadt

The first of the two German speaking Extraordinary Visits took place in Neustadt a.d. Weinstrasse, Germany. There were 37 participants, 32 from the Province of St. Clemens (from Germany, The Netherlands and Switzerland) and 5 from the Province Vienna-Munich (from both Germany and Austria). So, including two Indonesian confreres working in the Province of St. Clemens, there were five nationalities

St. Clement’s Province and Liguori Province sign Memorandum of Agreement on the Redemptorist Mission in Lebanon

On 19 September, 2015, the provincials of the St. Clement’s Province, Fr. Johannes Römelt, and Liguori Province, Fr. Joy Poonoly, signed in Wittem (seat of the St. Clements’s Province) a Memorandum of Agreement on the Redemptorist Mission in Lebanon. Redemptorists take the lead in Bible Marathon by Religious in The Netherlands

Ever heard something like this?!” Under this motto, some hundred sisters, brothers, priests and associates of 25 orders and congregations in the province of Limburg (the Netherlands) did a Bible Marathon.



Alternately, they read the entire Bible aloud, from August 3 until 15 (except Sunday), in the baptistery of the Basilica of Our Lady – Star of the Sea in Maastricht.

Johannes Römelt elected as provincial superior

Neustadt/Weinstraße –Fr. Johannes Römelt CSsR has been elected as the new superior of the Province St.Clemens on January 4, 2011. The following confreres were elected in the provincial council: Henk Erinkveld (vicar), Guido Moons, Jan Hafmanns ans Jürgen Langer.
