On May 8, 2024, Fr. Gerd-Dieter Eigelshoven passed away at the age of 72. Born on February 2, 1952, he dedicated his life to service as a Redemptorist, leaving a profound legacy of compassion and devotion.
In his honor, a Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the Hospital Chapel of the Brothers of Mercy in Trier, Nordallee 1 (access via Theobaldstraße). Friends, family, and companions are invited to join in bidding farewell and remembering his life.
The burial will take place at 2:30 PM at the main cemetery, entrance An der Hospitalsmühle. Following the ceremony, the community is invited to a reception at Café Ruhepol, Paulinstraße 122, to honor the deceased in quiet remembrance and fellowship.
